Shakeup Your Makeup Routine This Summer

Summer is the best time to shakeup your makeup routine and
change your image. The sun is shining, and your makeup, hair and beauty needs
will be different than they were in the cooler months, after all.

If you want to shakeup your makeup routine this summer, but
you don’t know where to start, here are some tips to get you started:
Swap Liquid for Powder
If you’re prone to sweating or oily skin, then the summer
isn’t exactly your skin’s best friend, but if you switch your favorite liquid
foundation for a powder version, you’ll find it much easier to control your
skin in the warmer climate, and you’ll always look great.
Mix Your Foundations
If you find that your choice of foundation simply doesn’t
last as long in the summer as it does during the winter, instead of swapping
liquid for powder foundation, you could try mixing them instead.
Use Lipstick as Blush
Brighter skies mean that you need to brighten up your face,
and one of the best ways to do this is by using your favorite pink lipstick as
a blush. It might seem weird at first, but give it a try, and you’ll see that
it gives you a really vibrant look. Just make sure that you don’t go overboard,
lest you end up looking more like a circus clown than a sexy summer sprite.
Try New Brands and Colors

If you’ve been thinking about spicing up your makeup bag
with some new Mac products or switching up your makeup routine with Sleek Makeup, Summer is the perfect time to do it. You can get away with trying
bolder looks in the summer, when the weather is good, more than you can in the
dreary autumn or winter months, and any mistakes won’t be quite so noticeable,
especially if you try your new style out at a festival or event, where there’s
guaranteed to be lots of unusual styles and whacky makeup choices on show.
Switch Lipstick for Lip Stain
There’s nothing worse than that moment when your lipstick
melts in the heat, leaving your face looking like a Jackson Pollock
masterpiece. Luckily, you can avoid this beauty faux pas completely by choosing
a high-quality lip stain instead of creamy lipstick.
Leave That Conditioner In

When it’s hot and humid outside, your hair is more likely to
get dry and frizzy, something that can be counteracted with the use of a good
leave-in conditioner that will lock in moisture and keep your hair looking
sleek.
Don’t Forget the CC Cream
Summer means sun, and that means harsh UV rays, which can
damage the skin and even cause skin cancer if you’re not careful. That’s why
summertime is the perfect time to try out a CC cream. CC creams are great
because they’re very lightweight, for a more natural, laid-back summer look,
and they usually offer a decent level of SPF protection too.

changes have you made to your makeup bag and your look?
