Washington is one of the most popular states, with countless people vying to call it home as soon as possible.  But once you move: where do you land?  From bustling Seattle to calmer Spokane, picking the city you’ll land in can be harder than many people realize.

Why Washington?

Washington may be expensive, but it’s so much more than a price tag.  From the booming tech industry to the gorgeous views and perfect weather, it’s a paradise that’s worth the price tag.  Washington allows a great work-life balance between the busy cities and rural escapes just outside of city limits and feels like a place that was made for relaxing and being at home. 

Seattle

The most popular city in the state, Seattle is also one of the most expensive cities in the country.  As the main hub for technology and art, Seattle allows people to feel at home being themself while making some of the highest wages in the country.  Although many have to roommate for the first couple of years that they live here if you’re able to break it further into your industry once you arrive: most people quickly increase how much they’re making every year.  This is a great place to live for young professionals.

Bellevue

Named after its gorgeous views, it’s no mistake that Bellevue houses for sale have been rated one of the most gorgeous properties in the country!  If you want the feeling of Seattle without having to be directly in the city, it’s time to check out nearby Bellevue.  This city allows you to enjoy fantastic views, delicious locally caught seafood, and an incredible community that’s hard to replicate.  Being here gives you the opportunity to settle in and instantly feel at home.  

Redmond

Just fifteen miles outside of Seattle, Redmond is a beautiful smaller city with just under 100,000 people that call it home.  Although the city is still developing and is still going through a lot of construction, property prices are far lower than those in Seattle property, which means this is an area that’s expected to boom in value over the next five to ten years.  This is an awesome place to live and an even better investment.  If you don’t feel like investing: you can still enjoy the gorgeous views! 

Spokane

At home in eastern Washington, this was once a mining town and now sits as a comfortable sleepy city that’s full of gorgeous art and rich history.  Once the site of the 1974 World’s Fair, you’ll be amazed at how many gems go hidden under the face of this small city.  More affordable than Seattle, but with far more snow, this is an awesome place to live and work.
